1.Overview
The DC resistance measurement of windings is one of the routine tests for transformers. Its main purpose is to check whether the connections or mechanical characteristics between windings, and between windings and leads, are in good condition, and whether the resistance between each phase winding is balanced, in order to ensure the safe operation of the transformer.
The three-channel DC resistance tester developed and produced by our company utilizes a 32-bit ARM core as the processing core to control the entire machine, automatically performing functions such as self-calibration, steady current judgment, data processing, and resistance value display. For transformer YN connection windings with taps, it can simultaneously charge, sample, and measure. For △ and Y-connected windings, it allows for one-time wiring and separate measurements, significantly reducing measurement time and greatly facilitating use for staff.
2. Safety measures
- Be sure to read this manual carefully before using this instrument.
- The operator of the instrument should possess general knowledge of using electrical equipment or instruments.
- This instrument can be used both indoors and outdoors, but it should be kept away from rain, corrosive gases, excessive dust, high temperatures, direct sunlight, and other such locations.
- Instrumentation equipment should avoid severe vibration
- The maintenance, care, and adjustment of instruments should be carried out by professionals
- After the test is completed, turn off the power first, and then remove the test wires
- When measuring a no-load regulating transformer, be sure to switch the gear only after the discharge indicator stops
- During the testing process, it is prohibited to move the test clamp and power supply line
